One half of the The Landlord Society Podcast, and I'm joined by my partner, Charlie. We both come from modest backgrounds and have always had big dreams. Growing up, we realised that some people were living completely different lives to other and we became curious.

People around us were making financial decisions that were keeping them strapped while other seemed to amass a lifestyle of freedom and abundance. This motivated us to make a change, not just for ourselves but also for the future well-being of our families and the legacy we leave behind.

Our Journey Begins

We were always hungry for success.

I started my first business in high school, selling things online to my friends. Charlie, on the other hand, worked hard as a labourer while saving for his first property. We wanted to break out of the norm and give ourselves a chance at a better life.

Growth

We were eager to learn,

so we immersed ourselves in books and devoured online resources but most importantly built connections that would then go on to change our lives. WAs we connected with people in the property industry, soaking up as much knowledge as we could. We discovered that building a successful property portfolio wasn't just about buying as many properties as possible. It required a strategy to avoid making costly mistakes that the majority of people make. 

The First Property

By the time I turned 20

I had saved up enough for a small home in South Australia. It wasn't the fanciest property, but it marked the beginning of a massive journey for me. I became determined to expand my portfolio and achieve even greater success. Charlie had saved up enough to purchase his first property at the age of 19 and that began our journey to a 22 combined property portfolio.

I quickly realised

That I needed to be smart about my investments. I didn't want to fall into the trap of buying overpriced properties or making risky choices. Through trial and error, I discovered the most effective investment strategy. It allowed me to navigate the world of real estate with confidence and minimise the chances of making costly mistakes.

Charlie and I have come a long way since then.

We now have a combined property portfolio worth over $10 million, and we're both just 29 years old! How did we do it? We unlocked the power of capital growth and cash flow through property.
